Twos
(24 months – 30 months)

The twos room is a place of new experiences, new friends, and new skills. Our teachers encourage this growth through a variety of hands-on experiences and exciting activities. These activities work to introduce children to basic shapes and color identification, storytelling, listening, sharing, and expressing emotions appropriately. Art, music, and story time are all part of our curriculum, which is specially designed to aid children in the five developmental domains: language, cognitive, physical, social, and emotional. This age group shows great leaps in the developing language and cognitive domains. We begin our Spanish curriculum at this age group to foster a multicultural world view. This age group also needs outdoor time to develop gross motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Our twos classroom offers a bathroom for those who are ready to start potty training. The teachers work closely with the parents to aid in making potty training a success. All of the teachers who work in the twos room are certified in CPR and first aid, as well as medication administration.
